  • 19 x 13.5cm reduction linocut print
  • Printed on Japanese Awagami Ho Sho paper using Cranfield inks
  • Only six prints in the edition

This small but mighty print was inspired by the tins of sardines I regularly open up for lunch! In a simple blue-grey scheme, the different textures of the tin and the fish are able to really shine.

The print was made using the reduction linocut method, where a block of lino is destroyed over the course of successive layers of ink being added to the paper. It requires planning, courage and very accurate placement to ensure the image is crisp. It also means that when a print run is completed, the exact same image can never be replicated, making they especially precious and limited in edition. Although I printed a fair few of these, I am only happy with six of them, so this will will be a very limited edition print run.

Please note, this print comes UNFRAMED.
