This collection of linocut prints started out with just one solitary mackerel, but I received so much love for the image on Instagram that I created this collection of four sea creatures. 

The soft, dusty blue images depict sea creatures found on my local shore, contrasted against a geometric rectangle. Evoking a vintage style of print, the simple once-colour approach allows you to focus on the delicate marks made to illustrate each creature.

Printed on finely crafted Japanese Awagami Ho Sho paper, the almost translucent quality of the paper, adds to the understated nature of the prints. The paper is acid-free and of archival quality. Please note, this paper is handmade in Japan and there can at times be slight variations in texture and marks from paper fibres.

Please note: To make my printmaking practice as sustainable as possible I am printing this on demand, so please allow a few days after purchase while I handprint the item for you and allow it to dry.

All my designs are carved and printed by hand and every single one of them is a unique reproduction. Paper is more often cut by hand too. For this reason, subtle variations in the paper, colour, inking and finish will occur from print to print. When you buy a hand pulled print from me, you are choosing these unique variations over digital reproductions.
