This greetings card is a reproduction of a drypoint intaglio print I made of my tabby cat, Rumi.

Rumi is a gorgeously lazy feline who likes to think he's king of the garden (but finds it impossible to catch anything, thankfully!). I wanted to capture his favourite sleeping pose that shows him almost circular in shape. The texture of print is very fine, highlighting the mackerel markings of his soft fur.

This card is perfect for any cat lover - whether they own a tabby or not!

This drypoint intaglio print was created using an incredibly fine etching needle to make marks on acrylic. The image is then wiped repeatedly with etching ink and then polished by rags and finally the palm of the hand. It is then printed onto dampened thick, heavyweight paper and passed through an etching press to create this vintage style image.
