This greetings card is a reproduction of an larger original collograph print. The image depicts a single frog taking in his surroundings. The monochrome image gives a real sense of the anatomy and texture of the common frog (Rana temporaria) which is the UK's most common  -and perhaps most beloved - amphibian.

This card would be ideal for any nature lover but particularly those who love frogs and other native British wildlife.

The original collograph print was made using cardboard, various scratching tools, glue, varnish and rubber for texture before it was printed using intaglio ink on damp paper through an etching press. Due to the nature of this approach, a relatively small edition can be created, making each original print precious and unique.
